Process, People & Paperwork (The "WHAT", "WHO" and "HOW" of buying or selling a business)
during that special time in the lifecycle of a business when the ownership changes - it's business as unusual.
We have created this site to help self-employed persons (the sellers) with a change in their business-life, leaving the business or company they are active in, be it because of retirement, personal motives or to pursue other interest.
At the same time, we assist people who wish to be self employed, or who want to grow their current business or maybe change their own business-life (the buyers and investors), to find and buy an existing business or company.
Via Empresius and this site, we offer both the sellers and buyers:
information on what to expect during that time between deciding to sell or buy and really concluding a transaction;
suggestions who both sellers and buyers should involve and consult in that process;
advice how to start that process, and the materials, tools needed how to proceed and control the process and have the best chance to conclude a transaction;
The buying selling process can be a very complicated one and most sellers and buyers do not have much knowledge or experience and lack the tools to get the desired result: a succesfull transaction.
We have therefore tried to use different angles to look at the buying and selling a business, and visualize the different steps (the what), experts (the who) and tools (the how) needed. Click here for more details

Explaining the Process
To explain the process, first of all we use this image of a conference table with a lot of persons around it, as to show sellers and buyers the need to involve experts and personal (familiar) relations to go through the buying selling process
We use a table to present all the steps in the process: 7 major "category" of activities (steps), and each categoty consists of 3 different tasks and a decision "moment".
We add avatars to the different categories, steps and tasks of the process.
For the visualization of the process, we use a number of business-like avatars for the different major steps that are explained in the site.
They "personalize" those steps and the logic sequence of advancing in the process one step at the time.
Presenting the Experts
We have identified 12 different specialism that could, and most of all, should be consulted during a buying and selling process.We use another type of avatar, to distinguish a professional in its' field, from the 7 steps and tasks needed during the process (see above)
